What this website collects, who receives it, and how to ask about it.

Effective

What the site collects

This site collects personal information in three places: the case review form on the home page, the same form on its own page, and the chat panel. It collects only what you type or choose there:

  • Your name and phone number, and your email address if you give it.
  • Your answer to what happened: the kind of incident you chose, if you chose one.
  • The page you were on, any campaign tags in its address (utm_ tags, fbclid and Google's gclid, which say which ad or link brought you), the language you were reading in, and your browser's user agent.

Your browser also keeps your name, number, and a form id for up to two hours, so a second visit in the same tab does not ask for them again. That stays on your device and is gone when the tab closes.

Vercel, which hosts the site, receives the technical details that come with every request to any website, such as your IP address and browser type.

The site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. Google receives the addresses of the pages you view, which can include the kind of incident you chose, along with your IP address and details about your device and browser. It does not receive your name, number, or email.

The site also loads the Meta Pixel, which tells Meta (Facebook and Instagram) which pages you view and whether you began and sent the form, and the site's server reports the same form events to Meta so that each is counted once. Meta receives the addresses of the pages you view, your IP address, details about your device and browser, the click id in the address if a Meta ad brought you, and the form id. It does not receive your name, number, or email.

The site also uses Microsoft Clarity, which records how you move through the pages (clicks, taps, scrolling and what is on screen) so the office can replay visits and see where the site is hard to use. The name, phone and email boxes on the case review form, and the whole chat panel, are blanked out in your browser before anything is sent, so Microsoft does not receive your name, number, email, or anything you type there. It does receive the addresses of the pages you view, your IP address, and details about your device and browser.

Why

To review whether Al's office can help with what happened to you, and to contact you about it. The page and campaign tags show which ad or page brought you. Your answers are not used for anything else.

Who receives it

Al Yasin practices with Sweet James, LLP. What you send goes to Al's office there and to the systems the office uses to receive and track new inquiries. Vercel hosts the site and processes the request that carries it.

Google receives the analytics information described above, Meta the pixel information, and Microsoft the Clarity recordings; each handles it under its own privacy policy.

Your personal information is not sold, and it is not shared with anyone else unless the law requires it.

Calls and text messages

Text messages in the intake program are sent by Law Office of Alaa A. Yasin, Esq, AP. Calls and texts come only with the consent you give on the form, and giving it is not a condition of hiring anyone.

Message frequency varies: you receive a confirmation text, then a small number of messages about your inquiry. Message and data rates may apply.

Your mobile phone number and your text-message consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. They go only to the office and to the service providers that deliver its texts and run its intake system, so they can provide that service.

The intake system is operated on the office's behalf by Adgentec, whose privacy policy is at adgentec.com/privacy and whose terms are at adgentec.com/terms.

To stop, reply STOP to any text; you get one final message confirming it. Reply HELP for help, or call (213) 767-0869 and ask to be removed.

Advertising and tracking

Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to tell one visit from another, and Google may collect information about your visits to this and other websites over time. To opt out, install Google's opt-out browser add-on from tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

If a Google ad brought you here, the site keeps Google's click id in your browser for up to 90 days and sends it with the form. The office later tells Google, by that click id only, whether the inquiry became a case, so Google can report which ads work. Google does not receive your name, number, or email from this.

The Meta Pixel sets cookies in your browser so Meta can measure which ads bring visitors here and can show ads to people who have visited, and Meta may collect information about your visits to this and other websites over time. To limit that, use the ad settings in your Facebook or Instagram account.

Microsoft Clarity sets cookies in your browser to tell one visit from another, and Microsoft may use what it collects as its privacy statement (privacy.microsoft.com) describes. Blocking cookies for this site stops it from linking your visits. The site does not respond to Do Not Track signals from your browser.
